The Story
Orlando’s first theme park; Gatorland opened in 1949 followed by Disneyworld in 1965, Sea World in 1973 and Universal Studios in 1990.
Walt Disney’s passion for art, animation and film-making was just the beginning to his success. Walt Disney’s quest to build “the world’s most spectacular theme park” started with the Magic Kingdom and continued with Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom & Epcot.
Disney changed the name of their original motion-picture theme park from MGM Studios to Hollywood Studios in 2008.
Along the journey, Disney introduced tag lines & slogans throughout the years from “The Place Where Dreams Come True” to “The Happiest Place on Earth” and “I’m Going to Disney World!”
Perhaps the most visible slogan; “See You Real Soon” can be seen by guests as they depart Walt Disney World in Orlando.
